Fat Cat Cafe
About
Fat Cat Cafe, Tallahassee's first and only non-profit cat cafe, offers a special experience as a dedicated feline adoption center. Collaborating with Feline Advocates of Leon County Inc. (FALC), this unique cat cafe in Tallahassee provides a nurturing temporary home for multiple adoptable cats from local rescues. Since August 2017, Fat Cat Cafe has connected over 1,670 homeless kitties with loving forever families. Visitors can enjoy time with these well-cared-for felines in the cuddle room for $10.00 per hour, with walk-ins always welcome. Each cat receives thorough welfare care, including being spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. Children under 12 are welcome in the adoption center but must be accompanied by an adult, ensuring a positive environment for all.
Visitors consistently praise the clean facility at Fat Cat Cafe, describing it as clean, fun, and enriching for both cats and people alike. Customers highlight the adorable cats and kittens with sweet personalities, noting how relaxing it is to interact with them, play with provided toys, or simply enjoy their presence. Many guests find sitting with cats a great way to calm nerves and relieve stress, enhanced by a super relaxing atmosphere with jazz music. Friendly staff ensure a welcoming visit, complementing the modest treats and beverages available, including pod coffees, sodas, water, tea, granola bars, and candies. Beyond feline interaction, Betty's Boutique offers eclectic goodies from local artists. Fat Cat Cafe operates Wednesday through Friday from 2pm to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Walk-ins are always welcome to experience this unique feline sanctuary in Tallahassee, Florida.
